Itinerary
- Day 1 : Arrival In Leh
When you arrive at Leh’sKushokBakula airport, you will be greeted by our representative and transferred to the hotel. Relax for the day. Walk around the local market and streets. Stay overnight.
- Day 2 : Leh
After having breakfast, your journey starts to the west of Leh. Here, you will visit the famous Alchi monastery. You will get to see beautiful miniature paintings in this Buddhist Monastery. It is actually the compound of temples in Alchi village. After that, visit the Magnetic Cyclops Hill located close to Leh in Ladakh. The adjacent slopes and layout will make you feel like a hill, though it is actually downhill. You will also visit the Military Hall of Fame, managed by the Indian Army. There are many historical artifacts, war weapons and a souvenir shop in this museum. Retire to the hotel and stay overnight.
- Day 3 : Leh - Tsomoriri Lake
On the 3rd day of the Ladakh Tour with Pangong, you will visit the beautiful Tsomoriri Lake. It is around 220km away from Leh and situated at about 4200m altitude above sea level. Tsomoriri is surrounded by beautiful snow-laden hills from all sides. Thereafter, move to the Rupshu Valley, driving alongside the Indus River. On the route, you will visit Chumathang Valley, known for hot springs and the Mahe Bridge. Thereafter, visit the wetland sanctuaries, where thousands of migratory birds, including Black Necked Cranes and Brahmini Duck breed. Stay overnight at the hotel.
- Day 4 : Tsomoriri Lake - Tsokar Lake - Leh
After having breakfast, start your journey towards the striking Tsokar Lake. On the route, halt at Puga Valley in Ladakh to visit the Puga Geothermal gas springs. This zone showcases the geothermal activity in the form of borax and sulfur deposits, hot springs and mud pools. Also, explore the nomadic Rebo tents, where nomads reside in. These tents are made from yak wool, and these nomads take almost a year to make a tent form yak wool. Thereafter, reach Thukje village to visit the monastery. Also, visit the Taglang La at 5300m altitude. Reach Stok by the evening and check into the hotel.
- Day 5 : Stok - Nubra Valley
Wake up early and have breakfast, start driving to the magnificent Nubra Valley situated in Ladakh northeast. Nubra Valley is located at 3048 meters altitude. To reach the Nubra Valley, you will have to pass through Khardung La, known as the world’s highest motorable pass. After reaching Nubra valley, check into the camp or hotel and relax. Enjoy the camel ride to explore Nubra’s sand dunes. The camels here have two humps and called as Bactrian camels. Thereafter, visit the 100ft. tall statue of Maitreya Buddha at the famous Diskit Monastery. The largest and oldest Gompa, Diskit Monastery is located in Ladakh’sNubra Valley. After visiting this, get back to the hotel and stay overnight.
- Day 6 : Nubra Valley - Leh
Post breakfast, start your journey by exploring the Samstanling Monastery. Also known as Samstanling Gompa, it is situated in Sumur Village in Ladakh. Samstanling Monastery was established about 150 years before. It is surrounded by amazing scenic beauty with hues of white, red and gold. Move to Leh and have delicious lunch during the trip. Reach Leh by evening. Retire to the hotel to stay overnight.
- Day 7 : Leh - Pangong
Have your breakfast and visit Pangong Lake, situated about 135km away from Leh. Pass through Chang La to reach Pangong Lake. On the route, visit the Tangtse and Durbuk villages. After that, reach Pangong Lake by afternoon. It is renowned as amongst the most magnificent lakes of India. Get back to the camp and stay overnight.
- Day 8 : Pangong - Leh
Delight your eyes with breathtaking vistas. Embark on your day with a pleasing Pangong Lake tour, which looks extremely stunning in the morning. Have your breakfast and move towards Leh. Once reached, enjoy shopping around the local market. Check into the hotel to stay overnight.
- Day 9 : Pangong - Leh
